How to play GridSpy

GridSpy is a free multiplayer word game for browsers. Two teams — Red and Blue — race to find their agents on a shared 5×5 grid while avoiding the assassin.

  1. Open a table

    Start a room on gridspy.app and share the room code in chat. Friends hop in from any phone or laptop — no accounts.

  2. Pick seats

    Each crew needs one Spymaster (sees the color key) and at least one guesser. Four people to start; extra friends sit as guessers (up to 12). Keep the crews close in size.

  3. Clue one word

    On your turn, the Spymaster gives a single-word clue and a number. Operatives tap cards that seem to match.

  4. Win the grid

    Reveal all of your team’s agents to win. Tap the assassin and you lose instantly. Wrong colors or neutrals end your turn.
